
MAKE Roanoke is thrilled to be participating in the Daisy Art Parade again this year! For those who don’t know, the Daisy Art Parade is a parade in Roanoke of giant puppets that people in our community make! All puppets must be man-powered (IE no cars towing them!) and using recycled material is highly encouraged. This year the parade is on May 9 and is held in conjunction with a Carnival! This concept meeting will focus on the planning of our puppet this year and/or if we want to opt for a booth with a carnival game instead.
You do not need to be a MAKE Roanoke Member to be a part of our Daisy Art Parade Krewe! All crafts and experience levels welcome!

All participants must have a signed waiver on file. If the participant is a minor, the waiver must be signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian. Waivers can be filled out ahead of time at
- Children who are not participating in the event are not permitted in the space.
- Closed toed shoes are required in the space at all times by everyone, regardless of age or participation in an event. No sandals, crocs, or bare feet.
- You may be asked to remove or tuck in dangling jewelry, lanyards, etc for safety.
- Depending on the activity, other dress code rules may apply.
