We have announced 2 new Electronics Shop Orientation Sessions for our Members. The first is May 1 from 6-8 PM and the second is May 3 from 10 AM - Noon. Please RSVP on the MeetUp Events and comment the time you will be arriving as we can only train 5 people at a time. The last orientation will start at 7:30 pm on Thursday May 1 and at 11:30 am on Saturday May 3.
This event is for Full MAKE Roanoke Members ONLY. You must have completed the registration and General Orientation. Find out more about MAKE Roanoke Membership here.
Orientations are expected to last about 15-20 minutes.
Completing this orientation will get you access to the yellow tools in the Electronics portion of the Lab:
- JBC CD-1E Soldering Iron
- Aoyue 9378 Soldering Iron
- Miniware TS100/101 Soldering Irons
- Rigol DS1102E Oscilloscope
- LeCroy 9345M Oscilloscope
Please note that MAKE Roanoke is an active workshop:
- All participants must have a signed waiver on file. If the participant is a minor, the wavier must be signed by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian.
- Closed toed shoes are required in the space at all times by everyone, regardless of age or participation in an event. No sandals, crocs, or bare feet.
- You may be asked to remove or tuck in dangling jewelry, lanyards, etc for safety.
- Depending on the activity, other dress code rules may apply.
