Slice Of Charity Fundraising Event at Blaze Pizza!
MAKE Roanoke is hosting a fundraiser at Blaze Pizza near Tanglewood Mall on Thursday, June 19 from 6-9 PM!
Simply show the flyer at checkout or use code FUNDA at checkout for pickup orders (no delivery!) in the official Blaze Pizza app or website.
Blaze Pizza will donate 20% of the proceeds to MAKE Roanoke!
Another Wood Shop Tool Training Announced
Another wood shop tool training has been announced! From 1-7 PM on Thursday, June 19, we will be offering trainings on our Red Level tools. This is first-come first-served, if there are people ahead of you, you may be asked to wait.
Electronics Shop Orientations
We have announced 2 new Electronics Shop Orientation Sessions for our Members. The first is June 15 from 6-8 PM and the second is June 17 from 6-8 PM. Please RSVP on the MeetUp Events and comment the time you will be arriving as we can only train 5 people at a time.
More Wood Shop Orientations Announced
More wood shop orientations have been announced! The 4 pm orientation on Sunday, June 15 will get you access to yellow wood-shop tools, and the 5 pm orientation on the same day will get you access to some red-level wood shop tools.
More Fiber Arts Orientations Announced
Two new Fiber Arts Orientations have been announced for June 12 at 6 and 7PM. The 6PM slot is a shop-level orientation, and the 7PM slot is for tool-specific training for red level tools
June 9: Virtual Community Meeting
MAKE Roanoke hosts Virtual Community Meetings on the Second Monday of each month at 6 pm on Google Meet! Come hang out with other makers of all crafts, learn about MAKE Roanoke’s updates on our Makerspace in Roanoke, VA, and show off that cool project you’ve been working on!
Wood Shop Orientations Announced
Our first wood shop orientations have been announced! This orientation will get you access to yellow-level tools in the wood shop and is required for any future red-level tool trainings.

Cricut Office Hours and Cricut Maker Tool Training
We’re trying something new with Office Hours at MAKE Roanoke! Designed to offer help using a specific tool or craft, Office Hours are open to the public to get hands-on assistance with your next project. Our first set of Office Hours will be for the Cricut on Tuesday, May 20 from 6-8 PM. We’ll have several Cricuts available to cut out vinyl, fabric, leather, cardstock, and very thin balsa wood and people who can help bring your project to life. Members can also come to get trained on our Cricut Maker so they can use it whenever they want!
More Tool Orientations Announced
New Tool-Level Orientations have been announced for 3D Printing: Bambu Labs X1C, Biqu B1, and the Resin Printers: Elegoo Mars 1 and Saturn 3 as well as the wash & cure stations. Fiber Arts will be hosting Cricut Orientations as part of the Cricut Office Hours
